What is additional support?
This services uses a positive psychology approaches and some coaching techniques.
The baseline could be the strengths and resources of the young person, looking into the future, not concentrating on the past. We can work on coping strategies and techniques, naming emotions, working on self-awareness. They have to establish good rapport, trust and become a “reliable adult”. This is very important for a young person – maybe this is the only “reliable adult” that they had ever contact with. The process is rather “light” and casual.
The difference with coaching is, that the client is not as much independent, for example too shy to make a self-referral, they are not “goal oriented” and not thinking in categories of making a change, they have some anxiety (medium level), some social problems – not too many friends, etc.
This services is also provided by a trained member or staff to best assess the needs of the young person.

Due to high demand, we are putting a pause on making a referral for additional support, however, you can still make a referral for coaching services or our Social Hub group.
